Industrial buildings power the narrative of a working railway — they are where freight originates and terminates. PLAGARY's industrial range includes factories with detailed smokestacks and loading bays, goods warehouses with sliding doors, engine sheds (roundhouses and straight sheds) for locomotive maintenance, and workshops with interior detail. These structures follow the Faller convention of integrating track-side elements (loading docks, crane bases, rail-served doors) directly into the building design. For scratch builders, we also offer low-relief industrial building fronts — the DPM approach popularised by Woodland Scenics for creating convincing backscene industry at minimal depth.
