Terrain & Rock Materials

Creating realistic rock formations requires either casting from moulds or carving from solid material. PLAGARY's terrain and rock materials cover both approaches: reusable rubber rock moulds (pour in plaster, demould a detailed rock face — the same technique Woodland Scenics has popularised with their Rock Moulds range); casting plaster and Hydrocal (high-strength casting plaster for durable rock castings); plaster cloth (gauze impregnated with plaster — drape over wire armatures to create instant terrain shells); and rigid terrain formers and carve-able foam blocks for scratch-built terrain. The standard workflow: create the terrain shell with plaster cloth or foam → cast and place rock formations → blend with scenery materials. Available for all scales.
